About Jogindra Convent School

With early education gaining new dimensions the dire need is not only to succeed but to lead in this intensely competitive, technology driven and, fast evolving global society. JCS completes the design of this type of educational programme, stretching From Kindergarten to Class XII. School education is the foundation for a student’s life. Unless and until the quality of education at the school level is improved, it is foolish to expect quality in higher education.Set in a calm, safe, pristine, pollution free, eco-friendly environment, JCS has truly been a milestone for this rural area as it provides global learning experience to its students and nourishes them to be responsible citizens. Alongside a high standard of academic environment, there is a continuous thrust towards literary, cultural and sports events. Our endeavour is to transform the old Concepts of education that aimed entirely at motivating academic achievements and replace the same by a more holistic child entered programme.

Morning Assembly

A working day at the school commences with the morning assembly. The students are encouraged to sing devotional and patriotic songs. Short talks are given on a variety of subjects such as hygiene habits, good manners, social service, great lives and important happening in India and abroad, particularly after the prayers. Every week one theme is introduced and different topics related with the theme are dwelt upon by the students. Presence of all the students in the morning assembly is mandatory.

Conduct and discipline

The conduct and discipline of a student is of prime importance at JCS. It is expected that every student in school behaves in a manner that befits the dignity and honour of the values cherished at his school. Discipline is maintained through understanding and positive attitude. The school believes in Tagore’s philosophy ‘Where the mind is without fear’. Discipline includes respect for seniors, love for juniors and self-control. Students’ discipline and conduct is recorded in the report card where special columns are made to assign grades according to their behaviour. Any student found lacking in conduct and behaviours may be asked to leave the school not withstanding any other achievement to his/her credit. The discipline and conduct records are the basis for the students’ final character certificate, whenever issued.
